We accepted a new offer tonight -- for quite a bit ($14k) more than the offer that was pulled....and the buyers are okay with working with us on us being able to rent back. Awesome! our contingency is of course that everything depends on us successfully buying 223, but the new buyers are aware of that.

Who knows if we'll get our Spanish bungalow.
Our buyer backed out. We already have another offer (good) for more than the original (even better) but the timing for when they'd need to move in won't work for us (bad).
Having four cats, one of whom is diabetic, and a dog, complicates things for us. So be it. We have to be able to either rent back our house or have the timing such on the new house that we'll be able to move in there -- and who knows when the current tenants will leave -- supposed to be out no later than November 1st, but I don't think that's guaranteed.
Another couple offers may come in today or tomorrow (all the people who saw our house, were interested, but didn't make an offer in time before).
